NATIONAL SEMINAR 'ECOVISION 2024' CONCLUDES AT MANIPAL UNIVERSITY JAIPUR
Jaipur : A 2 day national seminar 'EcoVision 2024' was organised at Manipal University Jaipur (MUJ) in collaboration with DST PURSE. This seminar, organised on the topic: Controlled Use of Natural Resources and Promotion of Innovation in Waste to Wealth, was presided over by President of Manipal University, Dr. GK Prabhu. On this occasion, the Chief Guest was Director of IIT Roorkee, Dr. KK and Special Guest was Padma Bhushan, Dr. JB Joshi. Conveners of the programme, Dr. Lalita Ledwani, Dr. Abhishek Sharma and Dr. Rohit Jain informed that Manipal University Jaipur has received the DST Purse Project on Waste to Wealth theme from DST New Delhi, under which this seminar was organised.
 
About 100 participants from various institutions participated in this seminar. Guest lectures and posters were presented by eminent scientists of the country on the theme of ecological and sustainable development.
 
During the programme, Director of Education, Agricultural University, Jobner, Dr. NK Gupta and Chairman of Department of Plant Pathology, Dr. Shailesh Godika were also present. On this occasion, an MoU agreement was also signed between Manipal University Jaipur and SKN Agricultural University (SKNAU), Jobner for student exchange, agricultural research and innovation.
 
A panel discussion was organised on the second day of the seminar, in which experts and farmers from various subjects jointly discussed sustainable development and the technology of organic farming with the help of ‘biochar’.
